Modern Slavery Policy

1. Purpose

Cyrius Media Group (Cyrius) is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly and with integrity.

We recognise that modern slavery can occur across global supply chains and business operations. We are committed to taking reasonable steps to identify, prevent and address the risk of modern slavery in our own operations and business relationships.

Modern slavery includes practices such as forced labour, human trafficking, slavery, servitude, debt bondage and other forms of severe exploitation.

This policy outlines our approach to responsible business practices and our expectations of the suppliers, contractors and service providers with whom we work.

2. Our organisation

Cyrius is an Australian digital agency providing strategy, creative, website design and development, digital marketing, search optimisation, technology and AI-related services.

Our operations involve professional services, digital platforms, contractors, technology providers and third-party suppliers.

We recognise that potential modern slavery risks may exist within these supply chains, including those associated with technology, hardware, outsourced services and global supply networks.

3. Our principles

Cyrius is committed to:

  • Respecting human rights and the dignity of all individuals.
  • Prohibiting forced labour, human trafficking and all forms of modern slavery in our business operations.
  • Working with suppliers and service providers who demonstrate ethical business practices.
  • Taking reasonable steps to identify, assess and address potential modern slavery risks.
  • Encouraging the reporting of concerns without fear of retaliation.
  • Reviewing and improving our approach as our business, supply chains and understanding of modern slavery risks evolve.

4. Supplier relationships and due diligence

We aim to work with suppliers, contractors and service providers who operate responsibly and comply with applicable laws.

As appropriate to the nature of the relationship and the level of identified risk, Cyrius may consider:

  • The supplier’s business practices, reputation and approach to labour standards.
  • The location and nature of the goods or services being supplied.
  • Available information about modern slavery risks within relevant industries and supply chains.
  • Whether additional information, assurances or corrective action may be required.

Where concerns are identified, we will consider appropriate steps to understand the issue, engage with the supplier and address the risk.

This may include requesting further information, seeking corrective action or reconsidering the business relationship where warranted.

Our approach will be proportionate to the nature of the risk, the circumstances involved and our ability to influence the relevant business relationship.

5. Responsibilities and reporting concerns

All Cyrius personnel are expected to act ethically and raise concerns about suspected modern slavery within our operations or supply chains.

Suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders are also encouraged to raise concerns or provide relevant information.

Concerns can be reported to Cyrius at info@cyrius.com.au.

All reports will be considered seriously and handled appropriately, with due regard for confidentiality, the safety of those involved and the circumstances of the concern.

Cyrius does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

Where a concern is substantiated, we will consider appropriate steps to address the issue, having regard to the circumstances and our ability to take effective action.

6. Continuous improvement

Cyrius recognises that addressing modern slavery requires ongoing attention, responsible decision-making and engagement with our business relationships.

We will review this policy periodically and consider opportunities to strengthen our approach as appropriate to our business operations, supply chain risks and available resources.

Where relevant, we will also consider guidance and resources published by Australian government authorities to inform our practices.

7. Scope and application

This policy applies to Cyrius Media Group’s business operations and informs our expectations of the suppliers, contractors and service providers with whom we work.

It should be read alongside any applicable contractual obligations, workplace policies and privacy requirements.
