A fabulous event last weekend, “Electrify Bennelong” hosted by
Jerome Laxale MP and his hard-working team. Interviewing the man himself (Jerome) and Poojan, the scientist behind the LAVO metal hydride low pressure hydrogen energy storage solution. Developed at the UNINSW, LAVO’s Aussie-funded and developed technology promises to make a big impact in our Net Zero efforts across residential, commercial and critical infrastructure. We also heard from Matt Kean, Chair of the Climate Change Authority. He spoke with passion, clarity and conviction that we must turn this juggernaut around before it’s too late.
The weather on the day was almost talking to us – we woke to a massive storm with the BOM saying rain was going to wash the whole event away, but somehow Gaia decided to give us the chance to make the event happen, contradict the BOM, let the storm pass and the sun come out. It turned out to be much hotter than one would have preferred, but that only underpinned the purpose of the event.
