Thriving Communities at Epping Club

Monday, July 04, 2016

Bendigo Bank, Epping Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank, Hunt & Hunt Lawyers and Cyrius Media Group hosted and sponsored a big EOFY community bash at Epping Club on the 5th Wednesday in June.
The event was attended by 150 guests and the opening remarks were made by Federal Member for Bennelong, John Alexander OAM.  Special guest speaker Rosemary Bishop from 3Bridges Community, presented a new model of strategic partnership and shared value between local community organisations, business and Government agencies.
The Bendigo Community Bank Branch model exemplifies community engagement and the idea of the event was to promote and encourage more partnerships and interaction between local organisations.
The Article in the Northern District Times explains...

Granny Flat Information Evening a huge success

Friday, August 08, 2014

Cyrius Media Group hosted a Granny Flat Information evening in the City of Ryde, to promote local businesses and affordable housing as well as offing alternatives for investors in the Sydney property market. With only limited advertising in the local paper and a bit of word of mouth over a four week lead-up period, the room was packed with over 70 people. The interest in Granny Flats is certainly very high at the moment with Sydney's property and rent prices the way they are.

We organised a panel of experts, including a representative from City of Ryde Council, a Granny Flat Builder, Lawyer from Hunt & Hunt North Ryde, Mortgage Broker, Real Estate Agent, Rental Property manager and an accountant to all offer their unique perspective and expertise on Granny Flats as an investment, cash flow generator and handy space addition to any suitable property.

There were plenty of good, relevant questions from the audience and lots of excellent answers from the Q&A panel, which was held after the main presenters had finished.

Granny Flats are a great option for affordable housing, medium density development and property investment. After such a successful event, we will be holding more in other Local Government Areas and returning to Ryde to host another one within the next three or four months.

Thanks to Club RydeX for hosting the event, to all the presenters for their valuable contributions and of course to the attendees that made the night the success that it was.

Cyrius at the 2014 Rotary International Convention Expo

Sunday, June 01, 2014

Rotary International is holding its annual International Convention in Sydney this year.  It is a huge event, with around 38.000 delegates. Since 1910 Rotarians have gathered annually, and this year the convention brings to Sydney Rotarians from more than 150 countries. The event is in the world-class venue Sydney Olympic Park. Rotary clubs from around the world provide outstanding service to the community and this convention will provide a great opportunity for like-minded Rotarians to connect.

A big part of the connecting happens in the House of Friendship, the great exhibition hall, where Rotary showcases all of its programs and initiatives as well as providing opportunities for commercial enterprises and community groups to reach delegates.

Cyrius Media Group is hosting a booth to encourage more Rotary Clubs to improve their online presence. Ryde Rotary's award-winning website is now being completely revamped with the new Rotary International branding and a system to make it easier to manage all the content that Rotary Clubs produce.  It is also a great marketing and communication tool, presenting Rotary Clubs as dynamic and professional local organisations.

Cyrius is at Booth 296 from Sunday 31 May to Wednesday Wed 4 June.  Come and say hello!

Cyrius can assist CanAssist

Friday, November 15, 2013

We are very happy to be involved in the process of revamping the CanAssist Website at the moment.  CanAssist is an amazing charity organisation which supports cancer sufferers in country NSW.  With 50 branches right across the state and a huge network of volunteers, they operate mostly under the radar of media and hype, quietly making an incalculable difference to the lives of people with cancer and their families.

The CanAssist team take care of their own Website for the most part, keeping it up-to-date as well as a secure log-in area for their branches to access.  However, occasionally they need a bit of assistance themselves, which we are very glad to provide at much reduced rates, as we like to do for organisations we believe in.

Recently it was decided to give the whole site a facelift and re-organise a lot of the content to make it more user-friendly and also to try to utilise the Internet more for marketing and calling for volunteers.  This process is underway, with new wireframes created and a new structure signed off.

The next step is to have a new design done, which will be based on a new colour scheme from their latest annual report  We are very much looking forward to this, as we really believe it will make a big difference to get the Website to more reflect all the amazing work CanAssist does.  Stay tuned for more news...

Cyrius helps local student grow to reach his Max Potential

Friday, September 06, 2013

6 September 2013 – Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club hosted the presentation afternoon and expo for a great program, Max Potential.  Students are encouraged to create a program with community outcomes, learning leadership, entrepreneurship and encouraging creativity.  Through a mutual friend, Victoria Kilby, a Max Potential coach, our Creative Director, Stefan Sojka helped MP participant Damian Martelli to develop his idea of setting up a local vegetable garden, under the name 'GROW'.

Stefan assisted with the general concept, as it is in line with a program he has been working with Victoria on for some time.  He also encouraged Damian to write his press release and helped with the editing of it, before sending it out.

The afternoon was a huge success as each participant set up stunning displays to promote their respective programs.  A strong contingent of local personalities, business leaders and politicians were there to add momentum to the fantastic Max Potential scheme.

For more information about Max Potential, go to http://max-potential.com.au/

Pictured is Damian Martelli with Cyrius Creative Director Stefan Sojka, at Damian's expo stand.

Cyrius releases a new song on iTunes – Mind Your Back

Monday, August 26, 2013

Cyrius Media Group announces the launch of a brand new music single, through iTunes – Mind Your Back.  The song is the feature promotional track for ParaQuad NSW new campaign and program for youth spinal cord injury prevention, www.mindyourback.com.au

Alison Turner from ParaQuad NSW approached us with an idea to do a song for the program and immediately the ideas began clicking.  Within a short space of time we had worked up the lyrics and the melody and chords came soon after.  A few weeks of recording and refining the mix and we had a track ready to go.  We released an excerpt for their 'soft launch' and now release the full song as it goes up on iTunes.

Mind Your Back.

ParaQuad NSW supports people with spinal cord injuries and is heavily involved in promoting spinal cord injury prevention, as they know first-hand how devastating it can be.  They have created a comprehensive program of school educational materials, multimedia, Website, stories, tips and all kinds of rich content to appeal to the most at-risk age group.

Spearheading the campaign is the song – a song with a strong serious message, yet up-beat, catchy and singable.  It is hoped that the song and its message is spread far and wide to make a difference in the lives of at-risk people, as they think twice before doing something that could affect them for the rest of their lives.

Thank you to ParaQuad NSW for the opportunity to create this song.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the ParaQuad NSW charity.

We recorded the song at our own recording studio facility, Ryde Recording Studio - www.ryderecordingstudio.com.au.

Check out and purchase the song on iTunes today – and tell your friends!

New Website launches for Multi-Sound Studios in Queens, New York

Saturday, May 25, 2013

It's not often that a local Sydney Website design consultancy and production agency gets to develop a Website for a local New York business, but occasionally the great network that is the Internet, combined with some off-line connections, links two businesses and leads to collaboration.  In this case, Cyrius Media Group, through a family connection, was brought on board to redevelop a brand new Website for New York's oldest, original and most established monthly music rehearsal studio complex, Multi-Sound Studios.

Based in Queens, New York, Multi-Sound Studios originated the idea of monthly, instead of hourly rentals for the music industry in a city where it is almost impossible to rehearse or record without getting in trouble with the neighbours.  Multi-Sound Studios offers 56 rooms that are rented out to a huge diversity of New York's creative community, ranging from bands to musicians, producers, agencies, engineers and artists.

Cyrius collaborated closely with Dave Weiner, Multi-Sound's creator, to work out just what kind of Website would suit such a legendary business.  We focused on highlighting the building complex itself, promoting the facilities, along with the neighbourhood, as a great place to hang out and chill in between sessions.  We also focused on highlighting the creative benefits of having your very own space, 24/7, with your own keys, making it possible to get things done whenever inspiration strikes.

Cyrius Media Group wishes Dave and his team, with their rich history of housing many of New York's top talents, a great future as Multi-Sound Studios grows its reputation and business through online channels.

Club RydeX new Website launches

Monday, May 13, 2013

The brand new Website for Club RydeX, Ryde's long-established ex-services club launched today.  Cyrius Media Group has been consulting closely with CEO Brad Browne and his in-house team to work out a new Web design and Web development plan for the club.  A relatively recently adopted new branding for the club, along with a revived push to market the club through social media and online channels has led to this new era of digital media and marketing.

The new Club RydeX Website has been designed and developed to allow expansion over time, with more and more rich content as the club evolves.  It also allows for the rich history of the club to be showcased.  History is often set aside when people push forward with all the latest social media and online marketing tools.  Club RydeX holds a great deal of local history and is looking forward to highlighting this.

Cyrius congratulates Brad and his team at Club RydeX for their collaboration and all their hard work in helping to bring the new Website to life.  It is just the beginning and we look forward to seeing the site grow as the club grows.

So Art Cakes launches their new Website

Friday, May 03, 2013

One of our clients from way back in the early 2000s is So Art Cakes.  After many years of having their original site, they decided it was high time to bring things up to date.  The Internet has changed so much these days with Content Management Systems (CMSs) becoming essential for any business to maintain and update their Websites.  Even for a small business like So Art Cakes, they need to be able to update their gallery regularly to feature their latest creations and add more and more glowing testimonials as happy brides and grooms write back to thank them for a job well done.

Being a small business and on a tight budget, we advised to go with WordPress as an open source CMS, and start with a good design template as a base that we could modify and customise to give them the look and feel required.  It was the best way to create a custom design with a CMS, without having to start from scratch.

We worked with Sue and Paul to help them save time by naming and giving descriptions to all their cake photographs in their gallery, to help with Search Engine Optimisation and save time.  We kept the whole site clean and simple, focusing on the cakes themselves – Sue's delicious creations.  The result is an elegant showcase, with plenty of supporting information to help the next bride and groom to find and choose So Art Cakes to design their special cake for their very special day.

Visit So Art Cakes Website here.

Wavelink's new Website is one year old today

Sunday, September 23, 2012

One of our most established, long-term relationship clients, Wavelink, celebrates the first anniversary of the launch of their new Website today.  Cyrius has been involved in two previous revamps of the Wavelink site, since coming on board back around 2004.  Naturally, the Internet has evolved significantly in that time, as have both Cyrius and Wavelink.  Being a communications technology company, their products and services have expanded from more traditional phone systems to total organisation communication solutions, including VOiP, mobile wi-fi network security and access, hotel network guest access management systems, unified communications and more.  Wavelink's marketing has evolved significantly as well.  They have moved heavily into digital media and social media as well as expanding such activities like training seminars and events.  All the while, the Website has been the central hub to their communications and marketing strategy.

Cyrius congratulates Jonathan Ordman and his whole team on all their successes and thanks them for the opportunity to have been a part of their journey.

Happy Anniversary, Wavelink, and here's to a great future together as you continue to grow and evolve your business with your Website www.wavelink.com.au
