The Winter Solstice has just passed, so it’s downhill all the way to summertime! Yes its tax time and we are all getting ready to bundle everything up for our accountants. The financial year is the year the business goes by, so it is a good time to reflect on things, even while our personal calendar remains in sync with Christmas, New Year and all the family fun the summer months bring.
2012-13 was an interesting year for us on may fronts and seems to have been for many people we know. It was a time of great change and upheaval for some, for others a time of challenges and for others it just flew by before they knew it! I guess we were a bit of all three. We had some challenges some upheaval and time also flew by because we must have been having fun.
New Websites
As usual we launched a few more Websites. Whilst a lot of our work is ongoing maintenance, consulting and sometimes inheriting projects from other developers, we did still get a few brand new Websites off the ground.
www.clubrydex.com.au our local Ex Services Club was a great project as we were involved from the very early planning stages and continue to be, post- launch.
www.soartcakes.com was a great little Wedding Cake designer’s Website that we revamped, having built the first one nearly 10 years earlier.
www.multisoundstudios.com was one project we were very happy to have taken on, via a close family connection, as it is a New York-based music studio complex, allowing us a chance to enter the Big Apple Website space.
Other activities saw us getting involved in some technical and business consulting for a local newspaper, expanding our recording studio offering and taking on a few more clients who we help in many ways to optimise and rationalise their digital media strategies and content.
The recording studio www.ryderecordingstudio.com.au got a name change to reflect our local focus and after some Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) we started to get some interesting enquiries. The most exciting one has been a regular podcast interview production for Medical Observer magazine – http://www.medicalobserver.com.au/ Dr Annette Katelaris interviews some of the biggest names in medicine and health, in a podcast aimed at doctors, covering some very interesting topics in depth. We are learning a lot ourselves, as we edit each program!
All the best for the New Financial Year ahead. With upcoming elections, a volatile economy and all kinds of new announcements in the world of technology and media, it promises to be another exciting year!
